Beautiful & RARE early glass advertising paperweight for the Schlitz Brewing Company in Milwaukee.
Detailed scene shows their working factory with banner at bottom "Jos. Schlitz Brewing Co. Milwaukee" with cameo picture of Joseph Schlitz in the center.
This style of paperweight features an image on a milkglass matrix blown into the weight. Underside has a polished pontil.
They were first used around the time of the 1893 Worlds Columbian Exposition and remained popular through the presidential election campaign of 1908 (possibly a few years later).
